Festive planning

The first of two fundraisers I have signed up to happens tomorrow. I’ve seen this event advertised over the years and never got to register for the race in time. This claims to be a hilarious 6k festive dash!

This year I’ve pulled my finger out in time and I have a place. My race shirt arrived last week and I will get my Santa suit and number at the event. Even with hardly any training behind me, I am really looking forward to what I hope will be one of many charity events that I will participate in over the rest of my 50 fundraising months.

The event is in Battersea Park starts at the milleum stadium and I will be one of 2000 people participating, so will be nice to be with others who like me, for some crazy reason, think it will be fun to run in a Santa suit for our chosen charities.

The jogging is definitely getting harder as I get older and it will take me a long time before I’m in any way good enough to run a good 5k, but this will definitely be a good place to start. I know like me it’s a time when money is going towards Christmas presents and everyone has their own charities that you will want to donate to this time of the year - so no pressure.

However if anyone out there would like to donate a just £1, it would be really appreciated. It will all add up and I promise to give tomorrow my best shot in get round as quickly as possible.

Thank you all so much, photos to follow!
